Remember to Freecycle

I Am not talking about putting the right stuff in the right coloured dustbin, but Freecycle where you do not waste good stuff by putting it in the bin.
Freecycle is a group of internet users who would rather see things go to a good home rather than be put in the bin.
When someone has something like seeds, knitting patterns, books, beds, blankets, etc that they have too much of or no longer need they send an email to Freecycle and offer it to people in their local area.
You can also ask for things like a piece wood to replace a rotten floorboard or curtains if the dog has just ripped yours to bits. There are some idiots who asked for Playstation 3s, but they are normally deleted by the editor.
It is a great place also for schools or charities that need something for a play or for a stall.
I gave away bits of turf to a man who’s dog had dug holes in the lawn, pieces of broken paving slab to extend some crazy paving and a load of greenhouse glass to someone who needed to repair their’s after a storm.
So if you live in Christchurch or anywhere else join your local Freecycle and get regular updates on stuff being given and stuff wanted.
Remember that if your thinking of moving here is your chance of giving away any bits and bobs (clutter) to a good home.
